12th November to 6th December, 2016, at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin. My painting of Iris lazica ‘Turkish Blue’ was part of this show alongside fabulous work by the other ISBA members.

Very happy to be a newly accepted member of the Water Colour Society of Ireland! Putting the finishing touches to my latest painting, Hudson Treasure, which will be part of their 162nd Annual Exhibition, at the Concourse County Hall, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin from Monday 26th September (10am to 5pm daily) to Sunday 2nd October at 1pm.

It’s Bloom time again! From Thursday 2nd June to Monday 6th June 2016 Ireland’s largest garden festival, Bloom in the Park, takes place in Phoenix Park, Dublin. As part of the show, in the Visitors’ Centre, is an exhibition of 56 paintings of very high quality Botanical and Floral Art, with medals awarded for merit. I’m delighted that my paintings, Rosa ‘W.B. Yeats’, and After the Fire, have been selected for the exhibition.

Dactylorhiza 'Sir Simon Milton'

27.05.2016 - New orchid at Chelsea Flower Show

This painting was commissioned by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation and is a newly-bred orchid, Dactylorhiza ‘Sir Simon Milton’ (Aristocrat x purpurella). The orchid has been launched at the Chelsea Flower Show 2016, growing in the Foundation’s Urban Connections Garden designed by Lee Bestall. The garden won a silver medal.

Sir Simon Milton was one of London’s most successful politicians, who believed passionately that the role of the city was to extend opportunity for all, young and old. The Sir Simon Milton Foundation was formed nearly 4 years ago in Westminster to continue the late Sir Simon’s vision of a caring city in which the young are helped to aspire and older people to thrive.

Earth Trove at the RHA

11.04.2016 - Earth Trove, now at the 186th Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition, Ely Place, Dublin 2

So happy to have my watercolour Earth Trove accepted into the 186th Royal Hibernian Annual Exhibition. To commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising, this exhibition has returned to its original earlier time of the year and is open to the public from Tuesday 22 March – 11 June. The objects in the painting were all found by me in the garden at Mount Slaney.

Holly has two paintings currently in Aibitir: The Irish Alphabet in Botanical Art. Over 70 artists are taking part in this fascinating show at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin, open daily until Sunday 25th May, 2014. Prints of all images are available to purchase.

03.07.2012 - Recent Exhibition - Mount Slaney Gallery and Studio Launch

On Saturday June 30th, Holly launched an exhibition at Mount Slaney Gallery of botanical works by renowned botanical artists, Patricia Jorgensen, Grania Langrishe, Belinda Northcote, Margareta Pertl, Yanny Petters, Susan Sex and Lynn Stringer.

The exhibition was opened by Patricia Butler, author of Irish Botanical Illustrators and Flower Painters and ran from the 1st of to the 8th of July.
